DataArt Announces 2015 Results: Record Revenue, Global Expansion & Refined Service Offering

New York & London - February 3, 2016 - DataArt, a global technology consulting firm that creates end-to-end solutions for enterprise clients in select industries, today announced impressive 2015 results: record revenue of $71M - a 31% increase year-on-year, further expansion to Western Europe and enhanced service offerings.

In 2015, the company serviced 250 clients, observing a significant increase in the total number of large customers (over $1M in annual billing) who now represent 43% of the overall client portfolio. Alexei Miller, Managing Partner at DataArt, said: "We saw a growing demand for our expertise from large enterprises that trust us with large-scale challenges and more complex solutions design."

Answering this growing demand, DataArt opened two new locations - in Munich, Germany, and in Wroclaw, Poland -bringing the total global headcount to over 1600 specialists across 15 locations in eight countries. DataArt's exceptional growth was noted by its sixth consecutive inclusion in the annual Inc. 500|5000 list, a ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.

DataArt launched its Managed Support Services as the next step toward providing additional value to its enterprise clients. DataArt now takes the responsibility for post-implementation support and production system maintenance, and the offering has been widely embraced by the client base. In addition, DataArt made a serious investment into compliance, business continuity and security areas and is on its way to SOC 2 certification, with a number of other standards being implemented, assuring better controlled operations across corporate processes.

Other DataArt expertise areas have significantly contributed to the company's strong performance and growth. The Healthcare and Life Sciences practice had an incredible 100% increase in annual revenue, adding a dozen new clients. Notable 2015 projects include developing software for streamlining clinical trials, artificial intelligence for drug discovery, hospital care management systems, and health & fitness applications.

The Financial Services practice continued to deliver significant business outcomes for clients across all market areas, posting a 40% year over year revenue. Successes included providing all systems development for a global provider of deliverable foreign exchange; design and development of all analytics systems and processes for a major financial information firm; and contributing to the major digitalization program of a Tier 1 UK bank. During the year, DataArt joined the AITEC Security Due Diligence Standard initiative for the asset management industry, and won "Best Regulatory Reporting Application" at the 2015 Data Management Review Awards. At the close of the year the practice strengthened its ranks by appointing industry veteran Cliff Moyce as its global head.

The Travel and Hospitality practice continued its successful track, posting 85% revenue increase and signing over 20 new clients. The travel team grew 50%, with engineering teams assisting customers to identify and describe the ideal solution for implementation, enhancing its technology and product consulting services offerings through rapid prototyping and proof of concept initiatives. An Authorized Sabre Developer, DataArt launched an IP framework for businesses interested to accelerate custom Sabre Red App development.

Media & Entertainment practice made strategic hires and developed a sustainable platform to scale the delivery team. Among notable 2015 projects is an open-source video player and a Betting Prototype – an Apple Watch and Android Wearable application for the gaming industry.

2015 was a year of a steady revenue growth for DataArt's IoT practice, which won prominent new clients, with businesses ranging from managed care equipment to data platforms. In February, DataArt partnered with Canonical, commercial sponsor of the Ubuntu project, developing solutions for big data and IoT. In addition, DataArt became an end-to-end cloud-ready partner of Texas Instruments, alongside Microsoft and IBM.

"It's a very exciting time to be on the forefront of innovation, and we're thrilled that more and more enterprise clients trust DataArt with their core business technology projects," said Eugene Goland, President of DataArt.
